Financial Accountant (m/f/x)

To strengthen our finance team in LIPPSTADT, we are looking for a Financial Accountant (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date in a full-time or part-time (minimum 30 hours per week) employment. As a Financial Accountant (m/f/d), you will monitor daily incoming and outgoing payments and be responsible for ongoing accounting activities and transactions. Your Responsibilities • Performing day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed asset accounting, and account reconciliations • Preparing tax filings and reports (e.g., VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, etc.) • Managing payment transactions and cash flow/liquidity planning • Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements • Ensuring effective and efficient accounts receivable management, including dunning and collection procedures • Serving as a contact person for tax, social security, and customs-related matters • Handling additional administrative tasks as required Your Qualification • Successfully completed commercial/business training, ideally as a certified tax clerk/accounting specialist • Good knowledge of commercial and tax law; knowledge of payroll tax regulations is an advantage • Initial solid professional experience in financial accounting • Strong affinity for numbers combined with excellent analytical skills and a structured approach to work • Willingness to take on cross-functional responsibilities • Proficient in common MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel • Experience with ERP systems; ideally Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central (BC) • Good written and spoken English skills
