Piping Supervisor

Company Description CTJV is a joint venture between Chiyoda Corporation and Technip Energies, formed to execute a major EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) contract for QatarEnergy’s North Field East (NFE) onshore facilities. The project includes the delivery of four mega LNG trains, each with a capacity of 8 million tons per annum, along with associated utilities and offsite facilities. The new plant will process approximately 6 billion standard cubic feet per day of feed gas from Qatar’s North Field, the largest non-associated gas field in the world. Once completed, the NFE project will add about 33 Mtpa of LNG, increasing Qatar’s total production from 77 to 110 Mtpa and reinforcing its position as a global energy leader. Role Description The Piping Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Ras Laffan, responsible for overseeing all piping activities within assigned work areas. This role includes supervising piping construction and installation, coordinating daily work plans, and ensuring that piping and pipeline works are executed according to engineering drawings, specifications, and project procedures. The Piping Supervisor monitors productivity, quality, and safety performance, conducts regular site inspections, and addresses technical or construction issues in collaboration with engineering and quality teams. The role also involves managing subcontractors and crews, reporting progress, supporting troubleshooting during pre-commissioning and commissioning, and making sure that work complies with CTJV standards and relevant codes. Qualifications • Supervisory Skills: candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills for leading piping crews, coordinating activities, and managing subcontractors. • Piping Technical Skills: candidates should possess expertise in Piping and Pipe installation, including reading isometric drawings and understanding materials, welding, and fabrication processes. • Pipeline Construction Skills: candidates should possess experience in Pipeline Construction, including routing, alignment, supports, and integration with related mechanical systems. • Quality and Inspection Skills: candidates should possess Quality Control skills to ensure work meets project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements. • Relevant experience in large-scale oil and gas, LNG, or petrochemical projects in a similar supervisory role. • Knowledge of international piping codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API) and familiarity with project HSE practices. • Strong communication and coordination abilities, with proficiency in English for reporting and interface with multidisciplinary teams. • Technical diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
