Role Description The Electrical Procurement Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Eastern Region. This role is responsible for sourcing and procuring electrical materials and equipment for medium voltage projects, including substations, distribution networks, and solar power installations. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating suppliers, preparing and issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), negotiating pricing and terms, and coordinating purchase orders to meet project timelines and technical specifications. The Electrical Procurement Engineer collaborates with engineering, project management, and finance teams to ensure cost-effective, compliant, and timely procurement. The role also involves monitoring market trends, maintaining accurate procurement records, and supporting continuous improvement in procurement processes. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong skills in supplier evaluation and vendor assessment for electrical materials and equipment. • Candidates should possess skills in managing purchase orders, order tracking, and coordination with logistics and project teams. • Candidates should possess analytical skills for cost comparison, bid evaluation, and data-driven decision-making in procurement. • Candidates should possess effective communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders and negotiating with suppliers. • Candidates should possess experience in preparing and managing requests for quotation (RFQ) and related tender documentation. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred. • Experience in procurement for medium voltage systems, power distribution, or electro-mechanical projects is an advantage. • Familiarity with procurement software, ERP systems, and basic contract terms and conditions is beneficial. • Ability to work on-site in the Eastern Region, manage multiple priorities, and adhere to safety and compliance standards.
