Role Description The Rebar Detailer is a full-time, on-site role based in Qatar, responsible for preparing accurate reinforcement shop drawings and bar bending schedules from structural and architectural plans. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting design drawings and specifications, detailing rebar layouts using CAD or detailing software, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role involves coordinating with engineers, project managers, and production teams to clarify technical requirements and resolve discrepancies. The Rebar Detailer will also review and update drawings as needed, verify quantities for ordering and fabrication, and support quality control by ensuring that detailed plans are practical and buildable. Maintaining organized documentation and meeting project deadlines is essential. Qualifications • Strong ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, including reinforced concrete details and project specifications. • Proficiency in CAD and rebar detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD or equivalent) and familiarity with bar bending schedules and rebar coding systems. • Good understanding of relevant building codes, reinforcement standards, and construction practices commonly used in Qatar and the region. • Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to perform accurate measurements, quantity take-offs, and checks on drawings. • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, site teams, and production staff, including the ability to clarify technical queries. • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a manufacturing and construction-oriented environment. • Relevant technical diploma or degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field; prior experience as a Rebar Detailer or in steel detailing is highly beneficial. • Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous learning in detailing methods and industry software tools.
