Description de l'offre d'emploi

DigiTech Search recrute : Senior Data Engineer (85-95K EUR), à München, Allemagne.

Are you an autonomous data architect with a knack for process optimisation, ready to build a greenfield data ecosystem from the ground up? We’re partnering with a prestigious German-headquartered engineering and planning consultancy with over 65 years of heritage. Operating across Germany, Central Europe, and international project hubs, they are a market leader in delivering complex infrastructure, transport networks, and smart built environments. We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer or & Business Process Lead to join a pivotal, in-house team responsible for building the company's next-generation data foundation. Your Mission & Impact You’ll play a crucial role in driving the strategic evolution of the company’s data ecosystem. You’ll balance high-level architectural design with hands-on pipeline creation, directly influencing how the business automates complex project workflows and prepares its systems for company-wide AI integration. Your key responsibilities will include: • Designing and implementing greenfield data architecture and automated ingestion pipelines to pull data from diverse external systems, APIs, and project platforms (such as Autodesk Construction Cloud and GIS sources). • Establishing company-wide data governance, classification standards, and storage rules from scratch to ensure data is clean, compliant, and indexed. • Leading business process re-engineering initiatives. Partnering directly with operational business leaders to audit manual data routines, eliminate bottlenecks, and automate workflows. • Selecting and implementing modern data integration tooling, frameworks, and cloud connectors with complete architectural autonomy. • Structuring and optimising multi-source data assets so they can serve as the launchpad for downstream AI agents, LLMs, and automated planning workflows. What You'll Bring We’re seeking a blend of strategic thinking and practical expertise. The ideal candidate will have: • Proven background in Data Architecture, data modeling, and designing end-to-end data pipelines. • Strong hands-on experience with API integrations (REST) and automating the ingestion of multi-source, semi-structured data. • Demonstrated experience defining data governance models, data dictionaries, and storage policies in environments where standards are being built from the ground up. • A Business Process Management (BPM) mindset with the empathy and communication skills needed to challenge legacy routines and guide non-technical teams through automation. • A "good eye for AI" with an understanding of how data must be structured, classified, and indexed to power automated agents and machine learning workflows. • You aren't just a ticket-taker; you bring your own architectural vision to the table, enjoy greenfield freedom, and thrive when operating as the go-to technical authority. • Fluency in German (C1/C2) is essential alongside professional English (B2+); you will regularly collaborate with German business heads and international engineering teams. • (Bonus: Experience with CAD/GIS, spatial data, or construction tech ecosystems is welcome, but by no means mandatory). Company & Culture You’ll be joining an established, trust-based organisation where friendly interaction, high autonomy, and stability are paramount. The culture champions pragmatism and open communication, combining the long-term heritage of a major consulting player with the agile, fast-moving feel of a greenfield tech initiative. You will be embedded within a dedicated, close-knit 15-person core IT division, reporting directly to the Head of IT with short decision-making channels. You’ll have the freedom to define the data roadmap from day one, without inheriting legacy code restrictions or bureaucratic red tape. Work Arrangement • Location: HQ is located in Munich • Flexibility: Full Remote flexibility within Central European time zones, or hybrid arrangements with access to modern offices in Munich • Remuneration: Target fixed salary of €85,000 - €95,000. (depending on experience). If you’re a forward-thinking data architect passionate about building an AI-ready data platform from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you!
