Senior Delay Analyst

Role Description The Senior Delay Analyst will work full time on-site in Abu Dhabi, providing expert analysis of project schedules and delays across major construction projects. The role involves reviewing baseline and updated programs, identifying critical path impacts, and preparing detailed delay, disruption, and extension of time analyses in line with contractual and industry standards. The Senior Delay Analyst will collaborate closely with project management, planning, commercial, and contract teams to gather data, validate records, and support claims preparation and defense. The position includes drafting structured reports, narratives, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external parties, including clients and consultants. The role also requires mentoring junior team members, contributing to continuous improvement of delay analysis methodologies, and supporting dispute resolution and negotiations when required. Qualifications • Strong expertise in project planning and scheduling, including use of tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Excel & PowerPoint. • Solid experience in forensic delay analysis, including critical path analysis, time impact analysis, and retrospective program review. • Sound understanding of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC or similar), claims processes, and documentation requirements. • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy in reporting. • Advanced written and verbal communication skills for preparing clear reports, narratives, and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Demonstrated experience in large-scale building projects preferably in the Middle East. • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management ; a relevant postgraduate qualification or professional certification (e.g., PMP, arbitration or claims courses) is an advantage. • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple priorities, and operate under tight deadlines on-site in Abu Dhabi.
