Team Lead GCU Claim Handling & Strategic Procurement (m/f/d) To support our growing organization we are currently looking for a charismatic and negotiation‑strong leader who will take responsibility for Strategic Procurement in the freight wagon environment while professionally steering our GCU Claim Management. The position can be located in one of our offices in Hamburg, Vienna or Warsaw. Your main responsibilities: • Lead and further develop the Strategic Procurement function • Establish, negotiate, and conclude framework agreements with Railway Undertakings (RUs), logistics service providers, material suppliers, and refurbishment workshops • Functional and disciplinary leadership of the European GCU (General Contract of Use) Claim Handling Team • Full responsibility for claim management in line with the GCU, including escalation handling • Develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies • Monitor KPIs, manage suppliers, and assess risks • Collaborate closely with Technical Operations, Market Operations, Finance & Controlling, and Legal We offer: • attractive and well equipped workplace • leadership responsibility in a strategically relevant role • international working environment with room for initiative and influence • appropriate remuneration and social benefits of a modern company • flexible working time including home office model • close cooperation and exchange of experience with other skilled teams within the GATX group • opportunity for professional development with wide range of trainings You are a good fit if you have: • Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in the freight wagon industry or logistics • Solid knowledge of the GCU is an advantage • Proven leadership experience • Extensive expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and claim management • Excellent communication and facilitation skills • Analytical, structured, and solution oriented mindset • Hands on attitude • Very good command of German and English • Willingness to travel (approx. 20%) We are looking forward to receiving your application!
