Role Description The Transportation Manager is a full-time role responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations and fleet activities to support project needs. Based in Doha, Qatar, this hybrid role combines on-site coordination with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and scheduling vehicle usage, supervising drivers and transport staff, monitoring fleet performance and maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The Transportation Manager will track delivery timelines, optimize routes and resource allocation, manage vendor and customer communications, and resolve transportation-related issues. The role also involves preparing transportation reports, supporting budget and cost control, and collaborating with project, operations, and logistics teams to ensure efficient and reliable service. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong Transportation Management and Fleet Management skills to oversee vehicle scheduling, routing, utilization, and maintenance. • Candidates should possess solid Operations Management skills to coordinate workflows, manage resources, and improve transportation processes and performance. • Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact with internal teams, drivers, suppliers, and clients in a clear, professional manner. • Relevant experience managing transportation or logistics operations, ideally within construction, infrastructure, or related industries. • Knowledge of local transportation regulations, safety standards, and best practices in fleet and driver management. • Proficiency with transportation management systems, route planning tools, and basic data analysis for reporting and decision-making. • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, handle time-sensitive situations, and make sound operational decisions. • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
