Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Deck Officer role based in Jendouba. The Deck Officer will oversee the safe navigation and operation of the vessel, including planning and monitoring voyages, maintaining charts and navigational equipment, and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations. Daily responsibilities include supervising deck crew, organizing and monitoring cargo operations, conducting safety drills, and maintaining safety and security procedures on board. The role also involves keeping accurate logs and records, inspecting safety and firefighting equipment, and coordinating with the engine department and shore-side teams to support efficient vessel operations. The Deck Officer is expected to uphold high standards of seamanship, contribute to a safety-focused culture, and support continuous improvement in shipboard practices.
