Mechanical Electrical Engineer

Every day, hotels throw away their used cooking oil while buying chemical detergents packaged in plastic. At MONSAPO, we build SapoCircle, a fully automated, connected machine that turns that oil into professional detergents directly on site. Our technology is patented, our first machine runs at a hotel in Hammamet, and in 2027 we move to series production. We are looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to help us get there. THE ROLE SapoCircle combines tanks, pumps, heating, piping, a steel frame and an electrical cabinet in one machine. You work on all of it, from the design office to the workshop to the hotel kitchen. Reporting to our Mechanical & Electrical Lead, you design, test, install and improve the machine. WHAT YOU'LL DO Mechanical & fluidic - Design and update 3D models and 2D drawings of the machine: frame, sheet metal, tanks, brackets and enclosures. - Size and select pumps, valves, heating elements, piping and fittings, and design the fluid circuit from P&ID to physical layout. - Choose materials compatible with heated oil and alkaline products, and design for leak-tightness and easy maintenance. - Work with machining and sheet-metal suppliers on manufacturability, tolerances and cost. Electrical - Design and update schematics, cabinet layouts and cable schedules. - Size loads and protections, and select drives, motors and sensors. - Act as a technical interface with our electronics and software partner (I/O lists, test protocols). Integration, testing & field - Integrate mechanical, fluidic and electrical parts into one reliable machine. - Contribute to CE conformity: risk assessment, guarding, safety interlocks for heated oil and corrosive products. - Run workshop acceptance tests (leak, functional, electrical) and commission machines at client sites. - Troubleshoot issues in the field and turn feedback into design improvements. - Write assembly instructions, and keep the bill of materials and docu
