AI Engineer (Intern)

Role Description The AI Engineer (Intern) will support the design, development, and testing of AI models and software components used in NexCommand AI’s products. Day-to-day tasks may include implementing and evaluating pattern recognition and neural network algorithms, assisting in building NLP pipelines, and contributing to code development, debugging, and documentation. The intern will collaborate with engineers and researchers to prepare datasets, run experiments, analyze model performance, and help integrate AI capabilities into production systems. This is an internship role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home alongside on-site collaboration. Qualifications • Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and version control. • Knowledge of Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks, with experience implementing or experimenting with machine learning models. • Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts and tools for text processing, classification, or information extraction. • Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in AI (e.g., Python, C++, or Java) and experience with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn). • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field. • Ability to analyze problems systematically, communicate clearly in English, and work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. • Interest in defense, aerospace, or industrial applications of AI; familiarity with cloud platforms or MLOps concepts is a plus.
