Role Description The Down Hole Tools Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for designing, configuring, and optimizing down hole tools for drilling, workover, and well intervention operations, ensuring tools meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing well conditions and operational data, developing and validating tool designs, collaborating with field and drilling teams during job planning and execution, and troubleshooting tool performance issues in the field and workshop. The engineer also prepares technical documentation, supports failure investigations, coordinates with vendors and internal stakeholders on equipment specifications, and contributes to continuous improvement of down hole technology and operational procedures. Qualifications • Strong tooling design skills, including Tooling Design and troubleshooting capabilities for down hole applications. • Proficiency in Software Development and Programming relevant to tool modeling, simulation, or control systems. • Experience applying engineering principles to complex systems; Game Development exposure is beneficial for simulation or visualization tools. • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. • Experience in drilling, workover, or well services operations, preferably involving down hole tools. • Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices for well engineering and tool deployment. • Ability to interpret technical drawings, well schematics, and operational reports, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in multicultural, cross-functional site environments.
